It all begins with an idea.
King Solomon Jewell III, the man behind the Sneaker Shootout Brand. Milwaukee born and raised, attended Elm Creative Arts School and Roosevelt Middle School of Performing Arts; both contributed tremendously to his love for the creative culture. Art in any form has always been at the forefront of who he is. After graduating with a Construction Degree from Tuskegee University and relocating to Miami, Florida, King found himself in the company of like minded individuals who had similar interests. Being a Construction Brand Consultant as well as having a creative beast lingering within him ignited the idea to create a concept that consisted of networking social events that gave photographers an opportunity to master their talents while using Sneaker heads as the muse.
Sneaker Shootout Miami evolved from what started as a photography company organizing networking meetups for Sneaker Enthusiasts and photographers to a revitalized idea of a sneaker battle called Walk This Way. What was once a highlight at sneaker trading shows and more recently held on Instagram, Walk this Way is the elite experience of a sneaker battle. Being held during Miami’s Art Basel Week WTW is a fashion show styled sneaker tournament consisting of 8 of Miami’s top sneaker heads.
The ultimate vision is to create a sneaker battle league where sneakerheads battle each other across the country throughout the year with Walk this Way being the main attraction for the championship belt and bragging rights as the Sneaker Gawd of the United States, and maybe even the World. One of King’s favorite quotes is “To the victor goes the spoils.” The winner gets everything!
Since 2018, Sneaker Shootout Miami has been a preeminent force in the sneaker world as a platform for sneakerheads to get the recognition that they deserve. Sneaker Shootout is the ultimate sneaker event experience. Walk This Way will celebrate its 6th year anniversary this year on December 8th during Art Basel 2023.
